This pretty station was recently adopted by the Friends of Gobowen Station provides the link with the bustling market town of Oswestry. (See News section). The booking office has a waiting room with refreshments and toilet facilities.

Modern Oswestry is an important shopping and agricultural centre with a good selection of restaurants and cafe bars. A bus/rail link and through ticket is available to and from the station into the town.

About Gobowen Station

This station is in the centre of Gobowen and is the rail link for the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital.

Trains leave here for Wrexham and Chester and for Shrewsbury, Birmingham and London.

The booking officehas a waiting room and public telephone, plus information on trains running. Platforms are connected to a PA information system. CCTV cameras cover the car park and platforms.

Independent travel agent Severn-Dee Travel operate from the booking office and are appointed agents specialising in domestic and European rail travel.
